Accessibility at Mayo railway station to be improved

IARNRÓD Éireann is working to improve accessibility at the train station in Claremorris.

It proposes to install a mobility impaired access structure which will facilitate passengers with a disability and wheelchair users.

The development is being progressed as part of the company's programme to improve accessibility across its network of stations.

An application for planning permission for the structure is currently before Mayo County Council. Claremorris train station first opened in 1862.
