84 days since Mayo's last hospitalised confirmed Covid case

It's 84 days since a confirmed Covid-19 case was last admitted to Mayo University Hospital.

That's according to information recorded by the HSE at the centre at 8 p.m. last night.

The last confirmed case at the centre was recorded on June 9.

Since June 9, the number of confirmed case in Mayo increased by 18 - but none of those cases required treatment at the Castlebar facility.

Nationally, there are 34 confirmed cases being treated in Irish hospitals today and 109 suspected cases, an increase of 39.

There are 10 vacant general beds in MUH today, an increase of five in 24 hours, and no vacant critical care beds, a drop of two.
