Sharon Murphy to launch new album in Westport venue

Sharon Murphy

SHARON Murphy's new album, Where I Belong, features 11 original songs as well as one of her versions of the Bob Dylan classic 'Forever Young'.

The album will be launched in Matt Molloy’s Pub, Westport, this evening (February 24), while Sharon is scheduled to play a lunchtime gig at the GMIT Mayo campus in Castlebar tomorrow (February 25).

In January 2015 Sharon appeared on The Voice UK and wowed the judges with her performance of 'Forever Young'. Overnight Sharon had won many, many new friends and admirers on social media worldwide, with many describing her voice as ‘an extraordinary gift'.

Following many requests for an album of new songs, Sharon went back into the studio and began recording last September, and she plans to visit venues all over Ireland to perform the new songs throughout 2016 - dates will be posted on her website and her Facebook page.

For now you can download Where I Belong from the iTunes music store or you can buy an autographed CD from her website, www.sharonmurphymusic.com.
