NORTH-WEST based Peter Gallagher, who hails from Swinford, is launching his debut EP Legacy this week.

The five-track CD features songs in the Irish folk and traditional genres, including the self-penned 'By the Banks of the Moy'.

Artists who collaborated with Peter on his debut were well-known Sligo musicians Dave Carty (bass) and Gráinne Horan (fiddle), as well as Ard Van Balkom (vocals). Ard duets with a skilled musician by the name of Thomás Langan and many more from the Castlebar region.

After a Sligo launch yesterday (Tuesday), Peter returns to his native Swinford this evening (Wednesday) for a second launch of the EP in 'the front' at the Gateway Hotel, starting at 9.30 p.m.

Musicians confirmed for the Gateway launch include Ard Van Balkom, Colin Gillen, Thomás Langan and Gráinne Horan. Entry is free to both events, and all are welcome to attend.
