The District Court will not be sitting in Ballinrobe again. Following a temporary transfer of sittings to Castlebar 18 months ago due to the poor facilities in Ballinrobe Courthouse and pending a review of security arrangements, the move has now been made permanent. With effect from September 1, the Ballinrobe court area has been amalgamated with the Castlebar area.
