Bin trasher offers 40 per cent more space
bin thrasherWe've all been there, another couple of days until collection, the wheelie bin is full and you have at least one more bag/box - solve your waste disposal problems with the bin trasher.
The brainchild of Carlow inventor Eamonn Treacy, the bin trasher received an enthusiastic reception in the most recent series of Dragons Den on RTÉ. Dragons Sarah Newman and Bobby Kerr couldn't pass the opportunity to be involved with this innovative yet practical product and so invested wisely.
The bin trasher is a simple gadget that compacts waste and gives you 40 per cent more space in your wheelie bin – reducing overfilling and eliminating littering.

O

ver the past two months we've been inundated with entries to each of the categories. Finally, at the end of March, it was time for our panel of judges to reach a decision about who should win the competition, not to mention the host of goodies it comes accompanied with.

Congratulations to all those who entered the competition. We were impressed by the extremely high standard of entries, but there can only be one winner - well, nine actually. So read on and see for yourself who won the overall title, as well as those who triumphed in the individual categories. And remember, there's always the next time.

Congratulations to the winners in our Mother's Day competition:
Rosa Fina: Annette Flanagan, Summerfield, Castlebar
L'Oreal Youth Core: Marie Jordan, Ballyglass, Claremorris, Mary Murray, Rowan Drive, Castlebar; Mary Heneghan, Kilfaul, Partry and Patricia Neary, Barrick Hill, Newport.
