horselipsAlmost one year on from the sell-out triumph of their December '09 concerts in Dublin and Belfast, Irish rock legends Horslips are back with a new tour for 2010 and are coming to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on November 28.
Last December's concert dates saw Horslips perform songs from their 10 albums and from the Rollback unplugged session to rave reviews in the media and huge feedback from audiences north and south.

sahara refugee campAfter fundraising over €13,000 for the slum communities in Nairobi, Kenya, Castlebar man Bryan Duffy and a number of art colleagues formed the group 'Art with Africa'. Comprised of past and present National Collage of Art and Design members, the group was established to discuss (with national and international artists, politicians and community groups) how art can be adapted, developed and understood in an exchange with African countries.


directorOne of Ireland's top bands, Director, will perform live at Bar Riz (Mulroy's Bar) in Castlebar this Saturday night, September 18. Supporting will be Oddsocks Revival and Ka Tet in what is sure to be a memorable Finbar Hoban Presents night in the Mayo county town.
Director have a brand new EP in the works due out at the end of the year and are promising to showcase new material, with some old classics thrown in for good measure.

high kingsThe High Kings will continue a hectic and successful 2010 until the end of the year and have pencilled in a concert at the TF Royal Theatre on Friday, November 19. They have released Memory Lane, their second album, in February of this year and it maintained its top five chart status for 10 weeks, and later achieved platinum


redmond o tooleIrish classical guitarist Redmond O'Toole will be joined by one of the most celebrated cellists performing on the international stage, Raphael Wallfisch, for a unique Church Classics concert in St. Mary's Cathedral, Tuam, tonight, Friday, September 10, at 8 p.m.


des bishopEdinburgh Fringe favourite Des Bishop raised the bar this year in the Scottish capital, producing one of the most talked about shows at this year's festival and earning a whole host of accolades and rave reviews.
Now Des is about to tour Ireland with this incredible show, including a date at the TF Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Monday, December 27.
