Beautiful Claire Durkin from Swinford will represent Mayo in the all-Ireland grand final of this year's Face of Ireland competition.
The grand final will see over 32 girls from all over Ireland compete in this prestigious competition in Jackson's Hotel, Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, in the hope of becoming the next 'Face of Ireland'.
The lucky girl will not only receive a year's modelling contract with the popular Compton Modelling Agency, Dublin, but an all expenses paid trip to New York, a piece of diamond jewellery to the value of €2,500 and a year of glitz and glamour at all the high profile events taking place in Ireland in 2011.
Stunning 19-year-old Claire has just completed her Leaving Certificate exams and is looking forward to this coming challenge.
She said: "I feel the world is my oyster and it's just a matter of going after what you really want out of life. This is something I've always wanted and can see myself doing in the future, and so I decided to go for it."
However, no matter what happens in the final on November 22, Claire is already a winner as she has made it through to the finals out of a whopping 25,000 entries.
