Swinford Golf Club is to honour the memory of the late Garda Robert McCallion who died after being knocked down and seriously injured in Donegal on March 26, 2009.
A competition for the Robert McCallion Memorial Cup will be staged at the club on Friday and Saturday, October 8 and 9. It is being kindly sponsored by Robert's friends, Cathal Quinn and Eamon Byrne.
The event takes the format of an 18-hold stableford for ladies and gents. A timesheet is in operation and early booking is essential.

The two-day tournament promises to be the biggest staged at the east Mayo venue for many years.
