A member of Castlebar Town Council has received a letter of apology from the management of Castlebar Community Radio (CRCfm) over comments made to him by a member of the station's technical crew after a recent broadcasting of the popular 'Saturday Forum' programme.
Councillor Harry Barrett was confronted at the end of the show in respect of the Labour Party's policy on abortion.
Listeners to the station could hear parts of the stand-off 'live' as the microphone in the studio had not been switched off.
When contacted by The Connaught Telegraph, Councillor Barrett said he accepted the station's apology in relation to what occurred on March 19 last.
"I am satisfied to leave the matter stand for the time being," he added.
