For sale: the house where Jack lived

ALTHOUGH Jack Charlton is selling his family holiday home in Ballina he’s not blowing the full-time whistle on his beloved hobby as an angler. The former Ireland soccer manager intends to continue fishing the River Moy and other prime angling locations throughout the west of the country, insiders reveal.

The Charlton holiday home at 96 Moy Heights, Ballina, has been Jack’s angling bolthole for the past quarter of a century. The three-bedroom dormer type house, with an extensive rear garden, is reckoned to be ‘a great catch’ at the asking price - €130,000.

Auctioneer Michael Boland says there has been a lot of interest in the past week since the property first went on the market. One offer has already been received.
