A christmas wish came true for one dream wedding couple
The Finale of The Dream Wedding Competition in conjunction with The Connaught Telegraph and Great National Breaffy House Hotel took place on Wednesday night, December 17th, at Breaffy, where the winners and runners up were announced to a tremendous applause.
The prize valued in excess of €15,000 was won by couple number 9 in the competition, Martha Reidy from Galway and her fiancé Dean Callaghan. They have been with each other for five years and got engaged on Martha's birthday, November 23rd in 2012.
The runners up were couple number 21, Jane Carey and Kieran Devaney from Meath and Galway who received a voucher from Breaffy House Resort. In third was couple number 3, Alanas Gaughan and Jarlath O’Hara both from Ballina, and in fourth place was couple number 15, Lyndsay Hughes and Daniel Considine, both from Galway. Third and fourth placed couples received a €250 voucher from Breaffy Resort. Each of the winners also received a bouquet of flowers supplied by Flowers by Ruth.
It was a terrific event in the Connaught Telegraph Calendar and a very busy night with all of the couples attending and bringing their family members and friends with them.
Wilson Bird, Breaffy House manager, was delighted with the event and thanked the Connaught Telegraph for their support in organising the event. Bernard Hughes, Sales Manager for The Connaught Telegraph, thanked the sponsors of the event who contribute to the overall prize and acknowledged the support that the participants received from their family and friends with thousands of votes received through text and paper coupons.
