Gardaí probe Westport arson attack

 

GARDAÍ in Westport are investigating an arson attack on a Mayo County Council dumper parked in a lane near the West Road at the weekend.

The dumper was badly damaged in the attack which occurred either late on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning. Roadworks are underway at the scene which is located near the town's skatepark.

A forensic test has been carried out on the damaged machine.
