A LOYAL and long serving Mayo GAA supporter was laid to rest in his native Crossmolina today (Wednesday).

Kevin Loftus, a well known draper, who was in his eighties, passed away earlier this week.

Kevin is a brother of Dr. Mickey Loftus, former President of the GAA.

He is a grandfather of current Mayo GAA player Conor Loftus.

Kevin was for many years a player and administrator with Deel Rovers GAA Club and travelled far and wide to Mayo matches over the past five decades.

Burial took place this afternoon in Crossmolina Cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Tiernan's Church.
