A MAN has been returned for trial to the Central Criminal Court, sitting in Dublin, on a charge of raping a woman in Castlebar last November.

The alleged crime occurred at Tucker Street, Castlebar, on November 16 last.

The accused cannot be named for legal reasons.

At a sitting today (Wednesday) of Castlebar District Court, Detective Garda Roisin Loftus gave evidence of serving the Book of Evidence on the accused.
