Popular Mayo musician to be laid to rest

The late Conor Walsh

THE funeral arrrangements have been announced for popular Mayo musician Conor Walsh, whose death occurred suddenly.

The piano and electronic composer from Ballinisland, Toomore, Foxford, shot to fame last year following the release of his debut EP The Front. He performed at a number of festivals, including Electric Picnic.

In a statement, his family described him 'an amazingly caring brother, son and friend' and praised his dedication to his music.

His remains will be reposing at O’Connor’s Hotel, Swinford, tomorrow (Monday) from 3 to 8 p.m.

Removal takes place on Tuesday morning at 11.30 a.m. to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Swinford, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Burial takes place afterwards in Kilconduff Cemetery.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
