IN what is considered to be a very rare occurrence, quad lambs have been born to a ewe on a west Mayo farm.

Their arrival came very much as a surprise to the ewe’s owners, Pat and Moira Moore, Aughagowla, Fahy, Westport.

Their daughter, Amy, emailed a picture of the four lambs and their mother to The Connaught Telegraph.

“Mother and her babies are doing well. It is considered to be a lucky omen,” she stated.
