Decent weather to continue for gardening enthusiasts

THE Mayo weather looks fairly settled for the weekend and ideal for all those doing outdoor work in the garden or around the house.

According to Met. Eireann, Saturday will be mainly dry and bright with sunny spells. However, there is a risk of isolated light showers in the afternoon.

Winds will remain light to moderate, northerly, but it will be much cooler than recently, with top temperatures of just 8 to 12 C.

Sunday will see a few bright spells but it will be mostly cloudy, with some patchy rain and drizzle, mainly in parts of the north and northwest.
Monday wil be mostly cloudy at first with some patchy rain and drizzle.

It will brighten up gradually from the north, with sunny spells developing and just a few scattered showers.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be cold, but bright days. However some showers will feed down across the country in a moderate northerly flow.

It will remain cool with mixed weather from Thursday to Sunday of next week.

Not too bad overall for gardening enthusiasts, however.
