Who will be King or Queen of the Coilltes?

A GRAND coronation is taking place in Kiltimagh tonight (Thursday).

Kicking off the Coillte Come Home Festival will be the crowning of the King/Queen of the Coilltes.

Eight local candidates have beem vying for votes over the past number of weeks and all will be revealed tonight. So will the King/Queen of the Coilltes be John Regan, representing Kiltimagh GAA Club; Kieran Moran, Cill Aodáin Choral Society; Mick ‘Dundee’ Roche, Kiltimagh Tidy Towns; Scott ‘Anita’ Langton, Kitty McGreals; Aiden ‘Rudi’ Lydon, Langan’s Bar; Melissa Morley, Paddy’s Bar; Padraig ‘Tulip’ Walsh, Ryan’s Bar; or Alison Dalleywater, representing Teach O’Hora?

An exciting election evening takes place in the Cill Aodáin Court Hotel tonight (Thursday, July 14) at 9.30 p.m. where the new King or Queen of the Coilltes will be crowned.

The Coillte Come Home Festival continues all weekend, with events for young and old, including a fireworks display, music in the Big Red Barn, and a family fun day with some very novel events on Sunday.
