Reasonable weather predicted for Reek pilgims

REEK Sunday pilgrims can expect reasonable weather conditioins, according to Met. Eireann.

Sunday will bring a fair amount of dry and sunny weather, but there will be a few showers around west Mayo also.

Temperatures will remain on the slightly lower side of normal, though it should feel pleasant in sunshine with just light breezes.

All in all, much better than this time last year when the pilgrimage was called off at Croagh Patrick due to heavy rains.

It’ll stay mainly dry through Bank Holiday Monday too for most places in the country, still with the caveat of isolated showers though, and there’ll be sunny spells too.

The further outlook is still looking unsettled with spells of rain at times but southerly winds possibly bringing something of an improvement in temperatures at least for the middle of the week.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will see sunny spells and scattered showers. Many of the showers will be light and short-lived.
