Gardaí probe match day break-ins

TWO houses in Castlebar were broken into on Saturday, All-Ireland final replay day.

A house at Maryland was entered between 5 p.m. and midnight after the front door was forced.

There are no reports of any property or cash being taken.

In a seperate break-in, a house at St. Martin's Terrace was broken into between 4.30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. A back door in the property was forced. Nothing was taken.

In both cases, gardaí - (094) 9022222 - are seeking information from the public as to any suspicious activity noticed in the Maryland and St. Martin's Road area around the time the break-ins occurred.
