Death of retired Ballinrobe garda detective

THE death has occurred of Brendan O'Donnell, Cornmarket, Ballinrobe, and Castleknock, Dublin.

The deceased was a retired detective with An Garda Siochana.

He is survived by his brothers Gerry (Ballina), Paddy (Castlebar), sisters Mary Cooney (Dublin) and Annette O’Brien (Cong), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

His remains are reposing at St. Joseph’s Funeral home, Ballinrobe, this evening from 6 p.m. with removal at 8 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe.

Requiem Mass takes place on Wednesday at 12 o’clock with the funeral proceeding to the New Cemetery.

 

Sarah Walsh

THE death has taken place of Sarah (Sal) Walsh (née Garry), Carrawina, Partry.

She is deeply regretted by her daughters Deirdre, Martina, sons Sean, Fr. Brendan and Mark, daughters-in-law, Evelyn and Dawny, grandchildren, brother Sean (Ballina), sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim.

Her remains will be reposing at Partry Community Centre on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. with removal at 8 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Partry.

Requiem Mass takes place on Thursday at 12 noon with the funeral proceeding to Ballyovey Cemetery.

 

Francis McCormack

THE death has occurred of Francis McCormack, Sandihill, Charlestown.

He was a son of Margaret and the late Ambrose McCormack.

The deceased was a brother of Marian Kennedy (Bushfield), Pauline McCormack, Sandihill and Luton (England), Sean McCormack, Curry, and Geraldine Bourke, Sandihill.

He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and grand nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Burial took place today at Bunnacrannagh Cemetery following Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Curry.
