Passing of loyal Westport United and Mayo GAA supporter

 

THE death has taken place of Sean Mulroy, Peter Street, Westport.

The deceased was known throughout Mayo as a loyal supporter of Westport United FC, Mayo GAA and Westport Community Games.

A butcher by trade, he was held in very high regard in the community at large.

Westport United official Kenneth Gannon paid tribute to him on Facebook this evening.

He said: “It would be fair to describe Sean as a one-off character and a true Covey. He will be missed around Westport but his positive legacy will always live on.

“I offer my condolences to Sean's family and relatives and may his noble soul rest in peace.”  

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

His remains will be reposing in McGing's Funeral Home, Westport, on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to St. Mary's Church Westport.

Funeral Mass will be celebrtated on Monday morning at 11 a.m. followed by buriel in Aughagower Cemetry.

May his gentle soul rest in pace.
