Mayo college listed among top non-fee-paying schools in Ireland

ST. Gerald’s College in Castlebar has been selected among the country’s top performing non-fee-paying schools in Ireland.

In schools league tables published by the Sunday Independent, the county town centre featured on a list of 18 top performing schools.

One of the key findings in the analysis revealed that 100 per cent of graduates over the past five years had opeted t pursue third level studies.

Thre other post primarty schools in Mayo sent 100% of their pupils to third-level education last year.

They were Balla Secondary School, St. Colman’s College, Claremorris, and St. Joseph’s Girls Secondary School, Castlebar.
