Jordan Loftus (Soccer)

NEW talent emerging on the soccer scene is always warmly welcomed and Jordan Loftus certainly hit the headlines in December when he fired home four goals for Castlebar Celtic in their 4-2 win over Ballyglass in the Connacht Gold Super Cup final.

His goal-scoring prowess was noted from an early age as he featured prominently for his school, St. Gerald’s College, and also won various underage accolades at county and provincial level with his club, while in 2013 he was on the Castlebar Celtic team that lost the FAI Youths Cup final.

Jordan also did a stint with Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps, where he did quite well, before returning to Celtic, where he continues to progress having developed through the club’s academy.

He looks like a player that has the talent in sufficient abundance to step up to the next level.
