Castlebar Restaurant Week to showcase town's culinary delights

CASTLEBAR Restaurant Week has been launched by Castlebar Chamber of Commerce to give a spring boost to the local economy.

It will run for 10 days from Friday, March 3, to Sunday, March 12, during which participating local restaurants will offer special 'prix-fixe' lunch and/or dinner menus at €20, €30, €40 and €50 price points.

That's two weekend of awesome deals.

As part of their participation, restaurant owners will get three weeks of advertising (double page spread) in The Connaught Telegraph and three weeks of advertising on Midwest Radio.

They will also receive full social media coverage, inclusion in a weekly newsletter plus membership to the Castlebar Chamber.

Wilson Bird, chamber president, said he was delighted with the response to the project.

'There are now over 20 restaurants in Castlebar and this is an ideal opportunity to showcase that that is good about eating out in the county town.

'We now have a wider choice than ever before and Castlebar is unquestionably the town in which to dine out.'

The establishments that have confirmed their participation to date are Bosh, Cox's, Bar One, Healy's Mac's Breaffy House, The TF Royal Hotel, Irish House, The Dining Room, House of Plates, Café Rua, Mulroy's, The Bay Leaf, Pizza Bros, Polonia Restaurant and Tolsters Bar.
