Sharon is Macra election candidate

THE nomination process for Macra na Feirme’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates has closed, with a Mayo candidate in the running for one of three vice-president positions.

The candidates for national president are Odile Evans, Plattenstown, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, and James Healy, Kilmartin, Donoughmore, Co. Cork.

There are two northwest vice-president candidates, one of them being Sharon Corcoran, Rathkelly Close, Ballinrobe.

Sharon has been a member of Claremorris Macra since 2011 and Three Lakes Macra since 2016. She has held a number of committee positions at club, county, regional and national level and now feels it is time to go that one step further.

Over the years she has won numerous leadership awards, as well as representing Mayo in the Macra Kings and Queens (2012) and Queen of the Land Festival (2013).

Sharon is passionate about the GAA and is PRO of Garrymore GAA Club.
