Petition for Westport Educate Together school

WESTPORT is one of the 25 areas around Ireland that was promised an Educate Together national school by the government in 2013 under a process to bring about more diversity and inclusiveness in the primary school system.

As Minister for Education Richard Bruton commits to reinvigorating the process, Educate Together say now is the time to make the case that the government fulfil its obligation to families in Westport.

An online petition is open where you can show support for the establishment of a new national school.

If you live in Westport and want an Educate Together national school, whether for the benefit of your own children or for the local community, you are urged to fill out an online form and join the campaign for an equality-based Educate Together school in Westport.

The Westport Educate Together Facebook page is promoting the campaign and the link to show your support is https://www.educatetogether.ie/westport.
