Kilmovee lady dies aged 100

A 100-year-old woman, who passed away on Sunday, will be laid to rest in her native Kilmovee tomorrow (Wednesday).

Mary Mulligan (nee Horkan), from the townland of Clooniron, was predeceased by her husband, John, some years ago.

Described as 'very friendly' and 'a real lady', Mary celebrated her 100th birthday in January.

She died in the care of Ave Maria Nursing Home, Tooreen.

Mary is survived by her sons, Dominick and John, daughters, Mary and Nora, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Remains will repose at the residence of her daughter, Mary, in Clooniron this evening (Tuesday) until 6.30 p.m. with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilmovee, arriving at 7 p.m.

The funeral will take place to Naomh Mobhí Cemetery, Kilmovee, following Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11 a.m.
