The wooden replica ball

Claremorris Lions Club launch draw for unique Mayo five-in-a-row ball

Between 2011 and 2015 Mayo senior Gaelic football teams won five consecutive Connacht championships.

To commemorate this sporting and historic achievement, well-known wood turner, Willie Creighton, in association with Ballina Lions Club, created a replica of the ball which he very generously donated to Claremorris & District Lions Club.

This ball is signed by the Mayo players and their respective managers. It has also been signed by Mayo-born Taoiseach, Enda Kenny. Crafted from ash wood, it forms a beautiful, unique souvenir of a great achievement.

Tickets for this one-off GAA memento are available online only and can be purchased for just €2.

Go to bit.ly/MayoBall or Claremorris Lions Club Facebook page. Draw takes place on July 8 and winner will be notified automatically by email.

All funds raised from this raffle will benefit Western Alzheimer’s and Claremorris & District Lions Club.
