Erris councillor lauds Enda Kenny's energy and affability

A SENIOR Fine Gael member of Mayo County Council has praised the unique qualities of Enda Kenny as leader of the party and An Taoiseach.

Erris-based Councillor Gerry Coyle said the long-serving Castlebar TD possessed remarkable energy and a special ability to reach out to people.

Speaking to The Connaught Telegraph, he said: “I was particularly struck by these qualities on many occasions over the years.

“He always went out of his way to met and speak to everybody at whatever event he was attending.

'It was always greatly appreciated, too. Enda was the same with everybody, be it world leaders or a rural councillor like myself.

“I don't think we will see his like again in terms of his affability and outgoing manner. He has been a truly great Taoiseach and he will be greatly missed in Mayo when his term ends next month. There is no question about that.”
