London-Achill bike run to support cemetery restoration works

A QUINTET of Harley Davidsons is heading to Achill from London later this month.

Patrick (Pat) McLoughlin from Carraig, Bleansakill, is undertaking the motorcycle run from London to Pattens Bar, Derreens, Achill, setting out on May 25, to raise much needed funds for the restoration of the community cemetery wall at Glencoe/Granaghan.

Pat will be joined by four of his friends from London riding their Harley Davidson bikes and they will be joined up by a number of bikers from Achill in Dublin when they come off the ferry.

The group hope to reach Pattens pub on Friday, May 26, at approximately 6 p.m. Pat will be carrying the green and red as he is an avid Mhuigheo supporter!

Anyone wishing to join Pat on this bike ride, either on the English side or the Irish (or both), would be more than welcome and it would be much appreciated.

Currently, Pat is currently looking for sponsorship and donations for this motorcycle run. You can contact him on his mobile (+447903269604) or donate directly to his page on justgiving.com – motorbike ride for Glencoe Cemetery.

If you would like to donate to the restoration work, a donation bucket is available in Achill Sound Post Office and the bank details are: Account name - Coiste Athchoirithe Reilig an Ghreannachain; Bank Sort Code: 937088; Bank Accunt No.: 27407004; Swift Code: AIBKIE2D; IBAN No: IE06 AIBK 9370 8827 4070 04.
