Grainne Fahy

Local faces in eir campaign

eir's latest brand strategy campaign has strong Mayo connections.

The campaign, ‘eir. Let's Make Possible', celebrates the amazing things that Irish people do every day and the infinite possibilities that the eir network allows.

The advert is opened by 16-year-old Grainne Fahy from Westport. Grainne began playing music when she was 10 and started writing her own songs at age 14. Last year, she released her debut EP, Don't Wait On Me, which is available on iTunes.

Grainne is heavily involved in many of the U2 sponsored Music Generation events such as the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus - definitely a talent to watch out for.

There's also another Mayo native to watch out for in the cast - Panti Bliss, who hails from Ballinrobe.

As well as familiar faces, there's also some iconic Mayo scenery as part of the advert was filmed in Achill, a testament to the county's stunning coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The campaign is running across all media channels and will feature prominently across the summer's prime-time schedule, with eir acquiring top programming across RTÉ, TV3 and Channel 4.

The campaign is also supported by a heavyweight social media campaign.

You can listen to Gráinne's incredible vocals and unique interpretation of 'Anything You Can Do', as feature in the ad, on YouTube.

Speaking about the campaign, Henry Dummer, group marketing director, eir, said: “We are incredibly passionate and excited about the possibility of connecting everyone and everything in Ireland, whether by high-speed broadband, voice, mobile data or bespoke enterprise solutions. Our new campaign celebrates how our powerful network makes it possible for people in every Irish county, city, town and village to do anything, anywhere - whether it's an amazing young musician like Gráinne showcasing her talents on YouTube to a farmer in Cork monitoring her cattle on her mobile phone using the latest drone technology.â€
