Passing of popular Castlebar personality
THE death has taken place of Jimmy Rainsford, 12 Pine Grove, Rathbawn Road, and late of McHale Road, Castlebar.
A member of a much-loved and respected Castlebar family, the deceased worked in The Connaught Telegraph for a number of years before joining the staff of Castlebar Bacon Factory.
News of his passing has come as a blow to all those who knew him and held him in high regard.
He is survived by his brothers Danno and Davey, sister Mary Walsh (McHale Road), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.
His remains will be reposing at the Sacred Heart Hospital Mortuary tomorrow (Friday) evening at 5 o'clock with removal at 7 o'clock to the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar.Â
Funeral Mass takes place Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
