No Crows: see them perform in Christ Church, Castlebar.

No Crows in Christ Church

DYNAMIC folk orchestra No Crows will provide a treat when they perform in Christ Church, Castlebar, this evening.

Formed in 2005, they played their first session in famed Sligo public house, Shoot The Crows. Now, No Crows’ growing output of original material reflects their diverse musical roots – from Irish traditional to Latin rumba, classical, jazz, rock and Balkan music.

No Crows celebrate 12 years of a musical journey this year with a fifth CD, Why Us? They have toured Switzerland, Belgium and The Netherlands in 2017, as well as playing a number of Irish festivals over the summer period, including Ballyshannon’s 40th Anniversary Folk Festival and Baltimore Fiddle Fair.

No Crows has a multicultural identity, with members from Ireland, Switzerland, Mallorca and Russia. This multiculturalism influences their music greatly.

It was a love for music that brought them together and it’s that passion that shines through in their performances. No Crows’ music takes you to places you have only ever imagined - the joy you find within their music is unique, the kind you never even knew existed until you hear one of their tunes.

Tonight's concert (Friday, October 6) is one not to be missed. Tickets cost €20 and are available from (087) 9909860, or you can send a message to Greenroom Bookings on Facebook or or email greenroommayo@gmail.com.
