Mac will be back in his little owner's arms tomorrow.

Mac is back!

IT'S going to be an extra special Christmas for young Finn Regan-Alexander, currently on holidays with family in Mayo, when he's reunited with his lost teddy.

Mac, the missing monkey, whose plight we reported on earlier this week, has been found.

He'll be flying into Knock airport tomorrow on the Gatwick service to be reunited with his young owner.

An online media campaign was launched by Finn's mum, Louise Regan-Alexander, after Mac was mislaid when travelling with Aer Lingus from Gatwick to Ireland West Airport on Friday, December 19. In all the excitement, Mac had got left behind in seat 20A.

Neither the airline or either airport had been able to locate him in the days since, but this evening word came through that Mac is safe after Aer Lingus found him. Earlier today a sister of a passenger on the flight tweeted that she had seen Mac under a seat and told the crew.

Now, little Finn can now look forward to a very, very happy Christmas when he gets his favourite monkey back tomorrow

Said Louise: “Thanks to everyone who provided their online support and shared their own stories of love and loss in the cuddly toy department. And to all the children who offered Finn their monkeys, I hope Santa is listening!”
