One house in Castlebar was entered unlawfully six times by same man, court told

ONE particular house was entered unlawfully on six different occasions by a man who has indicated a plea of guilty to 17 theft-related offences carried out over a 10-month period.

Castlebar District Court was told today that the cumultive value of items stolen from 12 different domestic addresses was €1,970.

Inspector Gary Walsh informed the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed summary disposal in the cases, while the defendant, Patrick Graven of 7 Erris Apartments, Castle Street, Castlebar, elected to be tried in the District Court.

Mr. Tom Walsh, solicitor, representing Graven, explained to Judge Mary Devins that his client would be entering a plea to the charges. The judge set the date of July 4 for the facts to be heard.
