Voting has been quite brisk this morning

VOTING at polling stations in Mayo has been quite brisk this morning as people have their say on the referendum on the Eighth Amendment.

By 12 noon, voter turnout was running at around 15% in most parts of the county, with 10 hours still remaining to cast your ballot – polling booths will be open until 10 p.m. tonight.

The breakdown of voter turnout as of 12 p.m. was as follows: Castlebar 15.5%, Ballina 15%, Ballyhaunis 14%, Claremorris 14.9%, Foxford 12%, and Westport 15.8%.
