Castlebar mourns passing of much-loved personality

THE death has taken place of Bridie Jennings (née Biggins), Hawthorn, Golf Course Road, Castlebar, and late of Kilnageer, Belcarra.

A much loved and respected personality, news of her passing has evoked an immense sense of loss in the community.

The deceased had a long association with Castlebar Golf Club and served as secretary of the club's ladies committee for many years. She also represented the club on many occasions in inter-club competitions.

Predeceased by her brother Owen, she is very deeply regretted by her husband Harry, daughters Jackie, Fiona and Nicola, sons Adrian, Harry and Nigel, sons-in-law Colm, Raymond and Declan, daughters-in-law Zandra and Ruth, sister Nellie (Belcarra), brothers Jackie (Belcarra) and Jimmy (Bristol), grandchildren Shane, Harry, Emma, Law, James, Ciara, Conor, Mia, Sara, Ryan and Alana, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Her remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home this evening (Monday) from 5 p.m. with removal at 7.30 p.m. to her residence.

Requiem Mass takes place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, followed by burial in the New Cemetery.
