Tom Mulloy

Passing of widely respected Mulranny musician and sports enthusiast

THE death has taken place of Thomas (Tom) Mulloy, Mulranny.

An accomplished musician, the deceased, aged 72, was widely known throughout Mayo and further afield as a member of the famous Mulloy Brothers balled group.

He is deeply regretted by his wife Geraldine, sons Enda and Thomas, daughter Elizabeth, brother Pat, grandchildren Cian, Conor, Darragh, Bobby and James, son-in-law Rory, sister-in-law Maureen, nephew Shane, extended family and a large circle of friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Tom was a founder member of Mulranny United FC and was honoured with the 'Hall of Fame' Award by the Mayo Football League in 2017 for his services to the game.

He was also actively involved with Mulranny Golf Club and gave sterling service to the club over many years.

His remains will be reposing at his residence on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place in Mulranny Church on Sunday at 11.30 a.m wth burial afterwards in Murrivaugh Cemetery.
