Heartless thieves stole Mayo card player's nebuliser

A LUNG patient from Mayo has appealed to thieves to return his vital nebuliser unit.

The device was stolen from a car on Sunday night as its owner was playing cards at Manulla Community Centre, halfway between Balla and Castlebar.

When the victim emerged from the 25 card session, the device, which was packed in a small case, was gone.

Through The Connaught Telegraph, the nebuliser owner appealed for the return of the equipment.

'I could certainly do with getting it back," he said adding that he has breathing conditions due to a lunge ailment.

Nebulisers are a portable machine that helps lung patients breathe in a medicine either through a mask or a mouthpiece.

Gardai at Castlebar (094 90 2222) would welcome any information which might lead to the return of the missing unit.
