Kathleen scoops €22,000 on Winning Streak

A MAYO woman won €22,000 when she appeared on Winning Streak, five years after her daughter appeared on the National Lottery TV game show, on RTÉ One, last Saturday night.

Kathleen Linnane, from Barnatra, scooped a total of €22,000 in cash from the show and admitted she was so shocked when she saw her name pulled from the drum by presenters Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy that she completely froze and was 'stuck to the sofa'.

The winning ticket was bought from An Post, Bunnahowen, Ballina.

Kathleen and her family had a double celebration last weekend as she celebrated 45 years of marriage to her husband, Martin.

Martin was there cheering Kathleen on from the audience along with other members of their family and close friends.

Winning Streak is nothing new to the Linnanes as Kathleen’s daughter Bernadette appeared on the show in 2014, winning €10,500.

Kathleen has no plans as of yet for her winnings as she will wait for the dust to settle next week.
