Mayo showdown with Donegal to be 'all ticket'

THE final Group One Super 8s clash between Mayo and Donegal is set to be all-ticket.

The match takes place at Elverys MacHale Park on Saturday, August 3, at 6 p.m. and the winners secure a spot in the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals.

The chairman of the Mayo County Board, Mike Conneely, announced this morning that its an all -ticket match - with no tickets being sold at the venue on the day.

"Tickets are now on sale at the usual outlets and we advise Mayo supporters to purchase them early to avoid disappointment. We are expecting a very high number of Donegal fans to travel to Castlebar for the game."

It is understood the capacity of the venue is 32,000, although some estimates put the figure at 38,000.

"We will be working with An Garda Siochana to ensure the game is managed as smoothly as possible in the interest of supporters travelling to and from the venue," added Mr. Conneely.
