roadIt was a wonderful journey. Pity is, it didn't last a bit longer. The September Road for the Mayo minor team ended prematurely in August but it was a fascinating trip. Tony Duffy's side came up just short against a Tyrone team that had been backed off the boards prior to Sunday's semi-final showdown at Croke Park.
seamus durkanSeamus Durkan has finally been substituted. You'd have him on the starting five in any game but sadly last weekend saw him make his final appearance before the good Lord decided he was short a ball-handler, a player who could shoot the lights, drive the lanes, fake the pass and strip the ball from an opponent.
Seamus had all the skills as a player and for many years imparted them as a basketball coach to the numerous teams he coached at various levels.
