angry aidan march 13_optangry aidan march 13_optWITH just over two weeks to Mayo’s Connaught championship semi-final against Leitrim in Elvery’s McHale Park, a number of players picked up injuries during the weekend which must cause some concern to James Horan.

The two O’Shea brothers, Aidan and Seamus along with Swinford’s Aidan Campbell have been nursing injuries for some time and have been unable to return to full training.

This injury list grew after the weekend league games after Ballintubber’s Alan Dillon, Jason Gibbons and Danny Geraghty picked up knocks in their league encounter with Davitts.

Crossmolina’s Peadar Gardiner is also nursing an injury he picked up in their championship game against Ballinrobe.

On Sunday against Westmeath, both Kevin McLoughlin and Keith Higgins picked up small knocks.

However, all the players who picked up injuries over the weekend are expected to recover pretty quickly and should be available for selection against Leitrim.

With regard to the O’Shea brothers the news is also good as both are reported to be making good progress and expected to return to full training in the near future. It is expected both are unlikely to start in the Leitrim game in order to give them as much time as possible to fully recover.
