goalieBelmullet kept their chances of staying in division 1B alive thanks to their one-point win over Aghamore in Belmullet on Sunday.
The Erris side will have to win their last game away to Breaffy to have a chance of staying in the division. For Aghamore, it was their eighth defeat in the league and one that relegated them to division two.
At half time Aghamore led by a point, 1-2 to 0-4, with their goal coming from an Alan Freeman penalty in the 15th minute. However, Belmullet outscored their opponents by four points to two in the second half and held on for a narrow victory.

gaelic footballKiltane made sure of their division 1B status for next season following their easy victory over a below strength Kiltimagh side in Erris on Sunday.
By half time the home side had the points in the bag as they led 2-9 to 0-6, their goals coming from Ultan Corrigan and Mickey Sweeney.
Any doubts about the end result were erased 10 minutes into the second half after Shane Lindsey converted a penalty for Kiltane.

gaelic footballCastlebar Mitchels kept their chances of promotion to division 1A very much alive following their seven-point win over Davitts in Ballindine on Saturday. Both sides were short a number of regulars but Mitchels showed their massive strength in depth as Davitts struggled throughout.
 astlebar led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval despite having faced a stiff wind. But the result was never in doubt as Castlebar pulled away from the home side in the second half with a series of well-taken points.


ballBurrishoole captured the division 1B Mayo league title after their impressive win over Islandeady in Islandeady on Sunday. Now with the league title and county cup under their belt, Burrishoole will be hoping to make it a hat-trick when they face Tourmakeady in the intermediate final on Sunday week. They had this game wrapped up by half time as, after having played with the wind, they went for the break with an eight-point lead, 1-8 to 0-3. Their crucial goal came on 20 minutes when star forward Jason Doherty rattled the back of the net after a good movement involving several players.
