How to develop football in Mayo in 2016 and beyond? Answers to Mayo Football League please.

Soccer clubs asked for ideas on how to advance the game

THE Mayo Football League is in the process of formalising a five-year development plan for the game in the county.

The initiative was announced during last Sunday’s Connacht Gold Super Cup Special programme on Midwest Radio and the league is looking for submissions from clubs who wish to contribute to the development plan.

League members have been working on this for the last number of months and the appointment of Joseph Ndo as head coach along with assistant coach Mick Duffy, performance coach Brian McMorrow, and goalkeeping coach Adrian Cronin forms part of a strategic plan for the game between 2016 and 2020.

This is intended as a foundation to the development of the county's players in the areas of coaching, strength and conditioning, and overall progression within the game.

If your club would like to make a submission, you can forward it to Mayo Football League secretary John Durkan by email to johndurkanmafl@eircom.net on or before Wednesday, November 25.
