Supporters' club for Mayo senior ladies' team

MAYO Mban is the name given to an independent group of family, friends and supporters who have come together to help the county senior ladies' team in their quest to win the All-Ireland title. The formation of the supporters' club was officially announced today.

In a statement issued this morning, the club said: “We’re all aware that our senior team are working night and day to be the very best that they can be, but they cannot do it all on their own and need the greater Mayo football family to put the shoulder to the wheel and help them over the line.

“Mayo Mban pride ourselves on transparency and everything we do will be documented fully. We have a committee in place and will be unveiling some very imaginative projects in the coming days and weeks.

“We would like people in all corners of our great county and in every nook and cranny of the planet to become part of Mayo Mban and help our wonderful footballers climb the steps of the Hogan Stand in September.”

The club added that details of how people can get involved will be released in the coming days.

The committee consists of Jennifer Murphy (chairperson), Angela Kearns (vice-chairperson), Michael Gallagher (secretary) and Breda Kelly (treasurer).
