Peter wins hurling All-Star

PETER Egan, who represented Connacht GAA in the Interprovincial Wheelchair Hurling Championships, has won an All-Star for his performances in the competition.

Peter was one of four defenders – one from each province – nominated for an All-Star for his displays with the Connaught team last year.

The All-Stars were presented by Uachtaran Cumman Luathchleas Gael John Horan at a ceremony at Holy Rosary College in Mountbellew, Galway, which was followed by an interprovencial blitz between the four provinces.

Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Club has been celebrating Peter's success.

A post on the club Facebook page stated: “The club would like to congratulate Peter Egan from Maugherboy on his wonderful achievement receiving an All-Star award.

We are delighted for our very own Peter Egan on winning the award. Congrats Pete and wishing you every success in the future.”

Peter is a former student of Kilmovee NS and St. Joseph's, Charlestown.
