Critical care unit of Mayo hospital is now Covid-19 free for one week

A week has passed without a new suspected Covid-19 case at Mayo University Hospital.

The latest HSE figures from the facility, compiled at 8 p.m. yesterday, also reveal that the facility's critical care unit (ICU) is now Covid-19 free for seven days.

There are still seven confirmed cases being treated at the facility, an increase of one in 24 hours.

The number of vacant general beds is 11, a decrease of six, while the number of vacant critical care beds is down from four to two.
